Get a position
One position with its orders, newest first. Use it when you hold a position’s id (prefix pos_, from List positions) and want the full history behind it: every executed order that opened, added to or closed it, with fills, fees and the average price.
The position fields are the same as in the list: status is open while you hold contracts and closed once you hold none, quantity and cost describe what is open, closed_quantity, closed_cost and total_proceeds describe what is closed out, and realized_pnl is the profit or loss locked in after all fees. The orders are the position’s orders that are neither pending nor cancelled.
Another account’s position is a 404, the same as an id that does not exist. To look a position up by market instead of by position id, use Get a position by market.
When a position’s market settles, its payout is recorded as a settlement transaction; for the settlement record, see List transactions.
